Scholarship Guide
In an effort to assist you in your journey to college, we have compiled a list of scholarships that have been offered in previous years and that we anticipate will be offered during this academic year. We encourage you to log onto the scholarship websites to monitor deadlines and requirements. This is not an exhaustive list of scholarships and should not be your only source in researching funding for college. You may also consult your GEAR UP Program Coordinator for assistance with guidelines and applications.

arrow American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship Program
Applicant must submit 700–1000 word essay and bibliography on the topic: “Describe the history of automatic fire sprinklers and how the recently proposed federal legislation House Resolution 1824 may affect fire sprinkler installation in your community.”

The makers of Mahatma, Carolina, and Riceland Rice in partnership with Univision Radio offer high school seniors in designated areas who wish to attend college the chance to win a two thousand dollar prize by writing an essay on a given topic.

Coca-cola wishes to encourage those students with demonstrated community leadership, academic excellence, and high personal character.

To support minority students in attending the college of their choice.
arrow National Association of Asian American Professionals – NY Chapter Scholarship
NAAAP-NY has established a fund for the purpose of assisting and encouraging promising Asian American students who seek higher educational opportunities.

To encourage students from ethnic minorities that are under-represented in the engineering field.

For students who have faced exceptional hardship to exceed academic excellence High school seniors attending public or private school in New York City.

Outstanding Students of America provides scholarships to senior high school students who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.

Outstanding students who have overcome the challenges of epilepsy are encouraged to apply.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation College Scholarship Award Program assists students who have lost a parent to breast cancer.
